Nandito Ako concludes after its’ 5 week run on TV5

For the past 5 weeks, David Archuleta has starred in the soap opera mini series Nandito Ako, along with Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero. The show concluded on Friday with an exciting, tear-jerking ending.

“I hope everyone enjoyed all of the work that we’ve put into the “Nandito Ako” mini-series! It was an awesome experience! Thanks everybody!” tweeted David.

The show aired on TV5 in the Philippines where it got rave reviews and a huge response as David’s fans from all over the world would tune in to see him portray Josh Bradley. Nandito Ako related trending topics trended worldwide on twitter 24 out of the 25 nights the show aired.

Roger Howarth gets GH contract!

Looks like Todd Manning will be staying in Port Charles longer than expected! According to TVLine.com, One Life To Live favorite Roger Howarth has been given a contract on General Hospital.

Roger made his GH debut this past week when he arrived at General Hospital to see his daughter, Starr, who was involved in an accident.

But how will this storyline play out and what will keep Todd in Port Charles? Well maybe it has to do with his daughter staying. Kristen Alderson has signed a 3-year contract with GH as she pursues who famous OLTL role of Starr Manning. After everything Starr is about to go through, I can’t imagine Todd leaving ‘Shorty’s’ side once she decides to stay in PC.

As for Kassie DePaiva, currently on GH, and Michael Easton who is set to make his GH debut this month, there is no word on their contracts with the show.

Who’s excited to see Jack Wagner (GH’s Frisco) on Dancing With The Stars?

Will this new gig lead to his return to Port Charles? Rumor has it that Kristina Wagner may also be returning this spring as Felicia! Stay tuned!

Kodi Kitchen is out at GH

It’s been reported via Carolyn Hinsey (Soap Opera Digest columnist) that Kodi Kitchen, who plays Maggie, has been let go. “Guess the big “Secret in Memphis” is that A-list characters rule on the new GH.” Hinsey tweeted.

Kodi’s role on the soap has been small but suspenseful as she’s been keeping a secret along with Steve Webber. As this storyline dwindles down upon her exit, I hope we at least get a satisfying ending, unlike some undeveloped storylines in the past.

As Hinsey tweeted, Kodi is just another newbie being let go so GH vets can get the airtime they deserve, with GH favorites like Finola Hughes and Tristan Rogers back on screen, as well as more to come! Stay tuned!

Nandito Ako succeeds in premiere week

International soap opera Nandito Ako premiered this past Monday on TV5, with ultimate success in its first week.

The half-hour soap stars singer David Archuleta as Josh Bradley, an international popstar who was born in the Philippines and separated from his mother at a young age and moved to the USA. Josh, now 22, returns to the country to find his mother. Along the way, he meets Anya and Holly, played by Jasmine Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero, two girls who he falls for, creating a dramatic love triangle between the three.

People all over the world have tuned in this past week to watch the premiere and David Archuleta’s acting debut, even trending Nandito Ako on twitter worldwide during every episode.

You can catch Nandito Ako on TV5 (or HERE) at 9pm MNL Monday-Friday, for the next 5 weeks!

Noah Drake, Frisco, Heather Webber and MORE back on GH??

Rumors have been spreading wildly lately that old GH favorites will be returning! While some are confirmed, like Tistan Rogers (Robert), Finola Hughes (Anna), Emma Samms (Holly), the newest confirmed is Rick Springfield reprising his role as Dr. Noah Drake!

It’s also been confirmed that Van Hughes (Cole, OLTL) will be making a few appearances with Kristen Alderson on GH.

As for the maybes, it’s been rumored that Robin Mattson (Heather Webber) is slated to make a return this spring, as well as possibly Jack Wagner (Frisco), and Jon Lindstrom and Lynn Herring as Kevin and Lucy! Though nothing is confirmed as of now.

As for goings, looks like Alyshia Ochse’s (Cassandra) days are up on GH, and Kimberly McCullough recently tweeted that her last day on GH “hasn’t happened yet.” Stay tuned!

Kristen Alderson signs 3 year contract for GH

Kristen Alderson confirmed in a tweet that she has signed a 3 year contract with General Hospital! “Just signed my General Hospital contract! 3 years! Here we go… You guys ready!? YAY” she tweets.

Kristen also tweeted this picture of her GH script, saying, “Studying my lines on the patio…aren’t you dying to sneak a peek!? Can’t wait for this stuff to air!”

Kristen will be resuming her One Life To Live character Starr Manning when she heads to Port Charles. It’s been noted that Roger Howarth (Todd) and Kassie DePaiva (Blair) will only be on GH for a limited time. As of now there’s no word on Michael Easton’s (John McBain) stay, except that he’ll be coming to the show in March.

No season 2 for Dirty Soap

It’s just been announced that E’s Dirty Soap has not been picked up for a season 2.

Jenna Gering (wife of Garret Gering of Days Of Our Lives) broke the news on twitter this afternoon. “So the word is that Dirty Soap is NOT being picked up for another season. Thanks to all of u who watched. You all have been so supportive!!!”

Some say it was expected and some are sad that this soap about soaps won’t be returning, and I for one am too, especially with the loss of One Life To Live recently. Dirty Soap would have been our only way of seeing more from JP Lavoisier and Farah Fath, as well as ex-DOOL star Nadia Bjorlin (and her sexy boyfriend Brandon Beemer).

Though I was really hoping it’d get picked up, it was kind of expected. Considering the soap world is losing shows left and right, why would they continue this reality show if half of the casts’ soaps aren’t even on anymore? It’s sad but true, but we all must keep supporting the shows and the actors to keep what’s left of soap operas alive.

GH moving to primetime?

It seems that due to Katie Couric’s new daytime show on ABC, there may be another option for GH rather than going the AMC/OLTL route.

TV Guide has reported that ABC might be thinking of moving General Hospital to primetime. GH would become a short-run summer series on ABC, but hey, at least it’d still be on the air!

Though it’s all speculation at the moment, I think if it came between going to primetime or cancelling GH completely, everyone would obviously choose primetime. Would you watch GH in primetime?

Kirsten Storms not returning to GH as planned

It’s been announced that Kirsten Storms will not be returning to General Hospital this month, which had been previously announced and hoped for.

“Kirsten Storms will not be able to return to GENERAL HOSPITAL as soon as originally hoped and announced.” said a statement from GH. “Jen Lilley will continue to play Maxie Jones for the foreseeable future.”

Jen Lilley has been playing Maxie since last September when Kirsten went on medical leave. Jen tweeted, “I’m sad @teenystweeting is still sick. Rest up love! I’ll keep Maxie kickin :) xo here’s to a bit more time on my favorite soap!”

Get well soon, Kirsten!
